Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit whose primary mission is to follow their moto of “Remember” (our fallen U.S. Veterans), “Honor” (those who serve), and “Teach” (your children the value of freedom).
Each year this mission is carried out by coordinating wreath laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery as well as more than 3800 additional locations in all 50 states, at sea, and abroad.
This year we are continuing to adopt a National Cemetery in each of our domiciles (as well as BNA and STL), and have created sponsor groups for each. There is also a group for AA Flight Management/Flight Training (GSW). This will give every AA pilot the opportunity to give as one group, but support passed veterans at their home base.
I hope you will join me in not only sponsoring wreaths at your local cemeteries, but donating some time to help with the wreath laying, as well as the before and after work that this requires.
If you wish to sponsor wreaths, or volunteer at your base’s cemetery, just click on your domicile link below. This will take you to your local AA Pilot sponsor group page.
If you don’t live near a base, there is also a link at the bottom of this page to search for a participating cemetery near you if you wish to support your local area.
Should you have any questions, feel free to contact your local representative listed below each link, or myself at dsb81@live.com.
